Canadian Idols: Where are they now?

Read the story about previous Canadian Idols and what they've been up to after the show. In the comment box below, answer the following questions:

Hero Dog Shana

1. Dog is two-week-old half-wolf, half-German shepherd from a puppy mill. Puppy names is Shana.

2. Several years ago dog and Fertigs both then 81 fed injured rescue animals housed in one of the buildings on their land, an unseasonable, violent snowstorm blew in.

3. Eve and Norman weren’t wearing coats or gloves and couldn’t climb over or duck below the tree trunks.

4. Story was very nice and good.

The Great Dane

1. The dog was pulling the owner with him and he behaved badly with other dogs and people.
2. Owners tried to solve the problem with putting a muzzle over the dog's mouth.
3. They tried to get the dog used to other dogs and people by teaching the dog to behave better.
4. The dog started behaving better.
5. The owners were good, because they tried to get help with training the dog and accomplished it.

Halston & Rocket

1. They kept destroying his furniture ie. curtains and chairs, they also drove away any visitors and ruined their owners, Victor’s relationships.
2. “He had literally given away everything in his life to rehabilitate these dogs” He took them on 6 mile walks.
3. Victoria helped Victor with training, replaced the furniture to stop them destroying all of it. She also showed him a way to walk the dogs.
4. After Victoria’s help the dogs started behaving and Victor decided to not return them to the animal shelter.
5. Victor is a very passionate pet owner, he had spent a lot of money, time and even his social life for his dogs. He is a perfect pet owner in my opinion

Hero Dog Roselle

1) What is the dog like?

Labrador retriever Roselle, a guide dog for blind people

2) What was the dangerous situation?

Michael was in a meeting on the 78th floor of the North Tower of The World Trade Center when a fire started and there were dangerous fumes coming from the jet fuel, which made it hard to breathe.

3) How did the dog save its owner?

The dog guided Michael out of the danger with the instructions Michael was giving

4) What did you think of the story?

It was a dramatic but a beautiful story. I found it shocking that even though Michael was blind, he managed to give his dog instructions to get out of the huge building.

Hero Dog Max

1) What is the dog like?

Max is heroic German shepherd dog.

2) What was the dangerous situation?

Dog owner Jack, 80 passed out when he woke up because of inhaling gas in his bedroom.

3) How did the dog save its owner?

Max saved Jack by trying to wake him up, but when Jack didn’t get up Max pulled its owner down the hall trying to get Jack out of the house.

4) What did you think of the story?

I wonder how the dog had the idea to get Jack to fresh air. Is Max trained to help its owner?

Roxy

1. Roxy behaved aggressively for other dogs. When you went out with her she drags towards the other dogs. She also barks to other dogs a lot.
2. Owner tried to solve problems by using shock collar and spray.
3. Victoria uses clicker instead of the shock collar.
4. Roxy calm down and she started to listening her owner´s orders.
5. We think that owner did not know what she was doing with the dog. Especially when she used the shock collar with the dog. But when owner gots more informations about training dogs she started to acting differently. So that tells owner cares her dog.

Cooper

1. Cooper was aggressive and barked to other dogs.
2. His owners tried to pull it away.
3. Victoria treated him for being calm.
4. She solved the problem.
5. They just didn’t know how to solve Coopers behaviour.

Peanut Butter

1. He bites everyone and even his own family members
2. They didn’t know how to solve the problem
3. She taught him the ways to act
4. Peanut Butter didn’t anymore bite people
5. Yes because they are loving him more now

The Five Pugs

1. Problem was dogs say “wuh wuh” and they pooping every time when they go out. But they also pooping in the house.
2. The owners didn’t do anything about it in this problem.
3. Victoria teached dogs pooping out and flags had assisted. Dogs knew that flags had to dodge.
4. Dogs didn’t pooping in the house
5. The owners were lazy, because they didn’t do anything. We thinks that the owners are pretty good, but they have to shape up!

Diesel

1. When the owner left the house Diesel started to get dangerous by bullying and biting Becky. Diesel didn’t respect Becky at all and was mocking on Becky. When visitors came Diesel started to jump on them.
2. They didn’t do anything to solve the problem because Jordan did not believe Becky and he was blaming Becky for not being dominative enough.
3. Victoria took Diesel to the basement to calm down and when he was calm they took him back.
4. There was a huge improvement in Diesels behaviour and afterwards even Becky was able to take him out of the room to calm down. Becky was able to take control of Diesel.
5. In the end they were pretty good dog owners. because they got the control over Diesel.

Hero Dog Little Joe

1) What is the dog like?

Joe is Yorkshire terrier. He loves his food. He also barks a lot like terriers usually do.

2) What was the dangerous situation?

Black bear came inside the house and the owner didn’t see it coming. It was going to eat the dog’s food and he was protecting the food.

3) How did the dog save its owner?

By barking, growling, attacking and nipping.

4) What did you think of the story?

It was interesting and weird. How could black bear come inside and how was it that the bear didn’t hurt the dog at all.
